I had a nice time on my trip with family to visit my sister in Guatemala, and I would first like to thank everyone who prayed for me during my trip.

Here is a little out line of all the things I did while in Guatemala;

Tuesday:
A 4 hour tour of different parts of Antigua including;
-Popenoe House (restored Spanish colonial house)
-San Francisco Church/Ruines (Former Convent and resting place of Saint Brother Peter)
-Union park and washing tank
-Saint Brother Peter’s Hospital
-Central Park
-Main Cathedral
-Captian’s Guard
-Captian’s Palace
-My sister's friend's (Keny), her family and Spanish school
-Higher Grounds Coffee Shop/English speaking ministry

Wedesnday:
We went with Andrew (my sister's boss) in his van on an 8 hour tour of the highlands of Guatemala including;
-The school we opened for Jr High in Chuchuca
-Xechan and other mountain towns
-Tecpan and the Iximche Ruines

Then we went to the Glenda’s House (the principal of the school in Antigua) in San Antonio Aguas Calientes (indigenous town outside of Antigua) for a cook out with the family and friends.

Thursday:
We traveled from Antigua to Guatemala at 4:30am to catch a flight to Tikal. Once in Tikal we had a four hour guided tour of the park which wasn’t enough so my family we went back in the afternoon to catch some more and climb some more incrediably tall mayan temples, while I rested.

Friday:
We checked out the museums in Tikal before traveling to Flores, a small tour on an island, where we explored and took a boat ride tour conveniently before a rain storm. Then back to the airport to fly to Guatemala and then back to Antigua for some Domino’s Pizza.

Saturday:
We are headed to the coast to see the black sand beach.

Sunday:
We went to a local church, where my sister translated for us.
Then we went shopping for a bit, and hanged out with some of my sister's friends.

Monday:
We went to the school were my sister works, and helped in an English, and art lesons of hers. It was fun.
We did a little last minute shopping this day too.
That night was game night at Andrew's house.

Tuesday:
Again we went to my sister's school, and helped out there. I'll even helped with some computer stuff.
At 4:30 we headed for the airport for our trip home.


Wow! As you can see I have traveled and seen a lot.

I will try to post in more detail about my trip when I get some more time. There are some good stories in this week. Again thank you for your support, and prayers.
